RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif.  — Finance Express, a provider of Web-based financial services and technology for independent auto dealerships, said that Gateway One Lending & Finance (GOLF), a lender specializing in prime and near-prime paper, joined the Finance Express platform.

GOLF will begin signing dealers in Texas and Georgia and then expand to 12 additional states.

“Gateway believes Finance Express will open the door to many independent dealerships across the U.S.,” said Todd Pierson, chief operating officer of GOLF.

“We think that Gateway is an excellent lender serving the prime and near-prime market, which is a niche that our dealers have asked for repeatedly. The GOLF management team is an exceptional group of guys and we have known and respected them back since their days at Onyx,” said David Huber, president of Finance Express. “Ultimately, we know by providing additional quality lenders to our dealer base, this helps them not only put a customer in a car, but is making them more profitable.”
