HANOVER, Md. — Richard P. Hackett, an assistant director at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), will field questions submitted in advance of his keynote address at the National Automotive Finance (NAF) Association's 16th annual conference.

The question and answer session will be conducted by Joel Winston, former Federal Trade Commission (FTC) executive and partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Hudson Cook LLP.

Hackett, who spent more than 30 years in private practice representing creditors, leads the Installment and Liquidity Lending Group in the Research, Markets and Rulemaking Division of the CFPB. His responsibilities at the bureau include advising all divisions on market information, as well as policy and legal issues in the installment and specialty lending areas.

In Winston's 35-year career with the FTC, he held senior positions in the Commission's Division of Advertising Practices, the Division of Financial Practices, and the Division of Privacy and Identity Protection.

“Hackett's key role at the CFPB and Winston’s in depth knowledge as a former federal regulator promise to make the keynote one of the most informative sessions we’ve ever had,” said Jack Tracey, NAF Association executive director.

The conference will be held May 30 to June 1 at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel (Texas). For more information, click here.
