WHITTIER, Calif. – A Los Angeles-area dealership is being investigated by the state Department of Motor Vehicles for alleged credit application fraud, grand theft and conspiracy. According to a report in the Whittier Daily News, the case was prompted by complaints filed by three former customers.

No charges have been filed against Board Ford, but the search warrant details customers’ claims that the dealership falsely inflated their income statements and overstated the value of their vehicles on credit applications.

"We’re cooperating with the investigation," Board Ford CEO Ray Dixon told the Daily News. "It’s an ongoing investigation, and to comment on it would be inappropriate."
