PORTLAND, Ore. -- Compli has launched an expanded version of its free Dealer Compliance Appraisal (DCA) tool at www.compli.com/dcav2. The Compli DCA lets an auto dealer conduct a confidential assessment of a dealership's existing methods of compliance with regulations and employment practices.

"Auto dealers will gain tremendous benefits from using the expanded Compli DCA," said Jim Lawrence, vice-president of product management at Compli. "In addition to assessing the current compliance levels of their organizations, they'll learn about the actual fines, penalties and judgments that other dealers have been assessed due to non-compliance."

The examples in the new Compli DCA include press coverage of U.S. dealerships that faced litigation and/or fines resulting from their lack of risk management in one or more of the 18 elements of a complete compliance management program. The 10-minute appraisal survey tool is derived from Compli's proprietary Good-Faith Compliance Framework and dealership compliance effort-weighting scale.

Once a dealer submits a completed DCA survey, Compli provides an assessment in the form of a custom dealer compliance index (DCI). The DCI is a measure of the dealership's current level of potential compliance liabilities by possible source. The appraisal answers the questions: "What is our current level of compliance and where do we face compliance risks?"

The Compli DCA generates a clear, visual report card of compliance strengths and weaknesses, giving a dealership actionable information that can be used to improve its overall liability profile. The appraisal tool also gives the dealership online access to details about the specific areas of concern, including those with the highest element of risk based on the survey results.
