CHICAGO — Dave Sloan, president of the Chicago Auto Trade Association (CATA), has agreed to serve as luncheon speaker for the Midwest Compliance Summit, organizers announced Monday. The event will be held April 20–21, 2015, at the DoubleTree Chicago O’Hare in Rosemont, Ill.

“Dave’s reputation and that of his organization precedes him,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Auto Dealer Monthly and F&I and Showroom magazines. “The CATA has earned nationwide recognition as a tough but fair advocate for dealers in Chicago and Northwest Indiana.”

Sloan’s address will commence at 12:30pm on April 21, following sessions dedicated to Rules and Regulations and preceding Your Responsibilities, Easy-to-Implement Processes and Controls and an open forum titled “Is It Compliant?”

Describing the Chicago market as “tough” and “very competitive,” Sloan said he looks forward to discussing the CATA’s work on behalf of dealers as well as consumers, including the adoption of strict truth-in-advertising guidelines and an ongoing partnership with the Better Business Bureau.

“Compliance is always a good thing for dealers,” Sloan said. “In a competitive atmosphere, it keeps everyone on a level playing field.”
