CHICAGO — The Warranty Group celebrated its 45th year of operations. The service plan provider traces its roots to 1964, when it was incorporated as Pat Ryan and Associates Inc.

Owned by Onex Corporation since November 2006, The Warranty Group provides warranty products and related benefits for a wide range of consumer goods and currently has operations in 36 countries. With assets of almost $5 billion and revenues of $1.9 billion, the company is the largest independent provider of service contracts in the world.

“I couldn’t be prouder of our 2300 associates for their passion and commitment. They understand the challenges of today’s marketplace and deliver solutions that make an impact — on client revenues and customer loyalty,” said David L. Cole, Chairman and CEO.

“Equally important, our organization continues to grow. We recently opened an office in Lima, Peru, and we have identified other new markets where we will begin operations soon. This is a testament to our financial stability as well as our enduring value proposition,” said Cole.

The Warranty Group is headquartered in the historic Insurance Exchange Building in the financial district in Chicago and is the recipient of many industry awards.
