Mercedes-Benz, AMEX Roll Out Co-Branded Credit Cards

August 23, 2011

NEW YORK and FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — American Express, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA LLC and Mercedes-Benz USA have partnered to offer two co-brand cards, the Mercedes-Benz Credit Card from American Express and the Platinum Card from American Express exclusively for Mercedes-Benz.

Mercedes-Benz also has joined the Membership Rewards program from American Express. All card members eligible to earn Membership Rewards points can redeem those points for Mercedes-Benz service packages as well as certificates that can be used toward the purchase or lease of a new Mercedes-Benz vehicle.

"The cards we have created with American Express are a result of driver feedback focusing on benefits geared toward the Mercedes-Benz enthusiast and lifestyle rewards," said Geoff Robinson, vice president of marketing for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. "Becoming a card member will expand the ownership experience for our current drivers and encourage aspiring owners to consider Mercedes-Benz for their next vehicle."
