MELVILLE, N.Y. -- DealerTrack has filed a lawsuit against RouteOne LLC, alleging patent infringement.

The suit, filed Jan. 28 in the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York, accuses RouteOne of infringing patents covering a routing system, method and computer software program designed to automate credit application analysis.

RouteOne LLC is a joint venture formed by DaimlerChrysler Services, Ford Motor Credit Co., General Motors Acceptance Corp. and Toyota Financial Services.

In response to the complaint, RouteOne CEO Mike Jurecki said: "We are surprised by the appearance of this lawsuit at this time because DealerTrack has known of our business plans since early 2002. We do not believe this lawsuit has any merit. We have previously researched the patents, and we do not infringe. We are confident that we will prevail."
