MCLEAN Va. -- Capital One Auto Finance has joined the DealerTrack online auto finance platform.

"Technology has always played a critical role in our corporate strategy," said Larry Rodriguez, Capital One Auto Finance sales director. "This is a significant step forward in technology for both COAF and the industry. DealerTrack's eContracting enables us to streamline our dealer processes, which in turn enhances the car-buying experience for our customers."

Since 2002, Capital One Auto Finance has been connected to DealerTrack's F&I Tool Suite, which lets dealers electronically submit credit applications to Capital One Auto Finance, monitor application status, access credit reports and take advantage of a range of other time-saving functionality. Now Capital One's dealer customers can conduct the entire financing process electronically, from credit application to contracting. This process is further supported by eContracting's recent integration with Reynolds and Reynolds, as well as its coming integration with ADP.

Capital One Auto Finance plans a phased rollout of DealerTrack eContracting, starting in parts of Texas in July 2004.
