PORTLAND, Ore. — Chrome Systems Inc., a subsidiary of DealerTrack Holdings Inc. and software provider for the automotive retail industry, announced that it has integrated an accessories solution into its web services offering.

Retail automotive websites use Chrome’s web services, which incorporate Chrome’s VIN descriptions, vehicle configuration and pricing technology, to enhance the functionality of their sites and the appeal of their vehicles. With the integration of this accessories solution, the sites can further differentiate themselves by enabling consumers to search for, price and add appropriate accessories as they are searching a site’s inventory for specific vehicles, eliminating the need to switch to a separate accessories catalogue. In addition, consumers will be able to view accessories on select vehicle models through 3D visualizer functionality.

“We are always looking for ways to help our customers strengthen their websites,” said Pete Batten, general manager of Chrome Systems. “This new accessories offering will enable them to provide a more comprehensive and seamless online shopping experience, which should boost sales of both vehicles and high-margin accessories.”

“We are excited about this new functionality,” said Foaad Haghighi, program developer at Jim Click Automotive Group. “Being able to display and promote accessories in tandem with inventory searches is a significant competitive advantage. We anticipate that this unique product will help increase vehicle sales and consumer interest.”
