Fort Worth, Texas - AmeriCredit Corp. (NYSE: ACF) has named Manheim's Tennessee Auto Auction in Nashville, Tenn., as its 2007 Auction of the Year as part of the company's nationwide Auction of Excellence program.

For the Auction of Excellence program, AmeriCredit representatives assess each auction's performance in a variety of categories, including customer service, marketing promotions, pre-sale activities and overall auction success.

"As this year's Auction of the Year winner, Manheim Tennessee delivered consistently great results for AmeriCredit," said Dan Heinrich, AmeriCredit's vice president of Asset Remarketing. "AmeriCredit sets high standards for its auctions across the country. The ability of the team at Manheim Tennessee to meet and exceed our expectations is an accomplishment that should make them very proud."

"It's such an honor," said Robin Treadway, general manager at Manheim Tennessee. "AmeriCredit is our top account, and the AmeriCredit Advantage program brings in more buyers than other auctions." AmeriCredit sales are attractive because the company's Advantage program provides confidence to buyers, Treadway added. After accepting the award for Manheim Tennessee, Fleet Lease Manager Bobby Kurzrock said the auction's partnership with AmeriCredit has been beneficial for both organizations. "We work hard to help AmeriCredit achieve their goals, and they help us achieve ours," he said.

Manheim Tennessee received three quarterly Auction of Excellence awards from AmeriCredit in 2007 and also won the annual Southeast region award. As the top auction in the Southeast region, Manheim Tennessee competed with other regional award recipients for this year's national honor. The other 2007 regional winners are:

Midwest Columbus Fair Auto Auction, Columbus, Ohio

Northeast Harrisburg Auto Auction, Mechanicsburg, Pa.

Southwest Lubbock Auto Auction, Lubbock, Texas

West Coast Manheim's Portland Auto Auction, Portland, Ore.
