SysLOCATE Launches New GPS Unit

May 05, 2008

San Diego SysLOCATE has announced the launch of the S2800 GPS vehicle tracking unit for buy-here, pay-here (BHPH) dealers. The unit is designed to allow BHPH dealers to locate a vehicle and, if desired, disable the starter, according to the manufacturer. The company plans to include the first year of airtime with all S2800 units, with an option to extend the service.

"The S2800 gives BHPH dealers the ability to locate and recover a vehicle at a very low cost. We were able to scale down the S3000i tracking unit and bring a more cost effective unit to BHPH dealers," said Claude Arbour, Vice President of U.S. Sales at SysLOCATE. "The high demand for our GPS tracking units and feedback we've heard from BHPH dealers in the field are strong indicators that this new, low-cost unit will be very well-received."
