CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — Retail automotive management solutions provider Auto/Mate Dealership Systems was named the first place Implementation Award winner for Data Transfer Specifications (DTS) by NADA’s Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail (STAR). Auto/Mate was honored for adopting more STAR DTS standards and using them in the development of more OEM interfaces than any other dealership management system (DMS) provider.

"OEM dealer communication system (DCS) integration has been a strong focus for us because we know how much time and money dealers save when these processes can be streamlined,” said Mike Esposito, president/CEO of Auto/Mate. “We’ve always been strong supporters of STAR’s work in developing voluntary standards for this area, and are honored to be recognized by them for our accomplishments this past year."

Formed in 2001, the STAR organization is the voluntary information technology (IT) standards body for the retail automotive industry. The organization acts as a catalyst in fulfilling the business information needs of dealers and manufacturers with voluntary standards that reduce the time and effort required to support dealership IT activities.

"We applaud the team at Auto/Mate for their work in advancing the adoption of STAR DTS standards this year," said John Warnik, STAR Steering Committee Membership Chair. "Congratulations on receiving this award, which is a testimony to the benefit on non-proprietary standards for the industry."

Auto/Mate’s Automotive Management Productivity Suite (AMPS) DMS includes more than 20 integrated modules designed to help dealers manage their businesses. It supports an unlimited number of users, workstations and printers and is available as both a cost-effective in-house and ASP solution, according to the manufacturer.
