Nissan's Lambert Named 2008-2009 AFSA Chairman

November 12, 2008

WASHINGTON — Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. (NMAC) president/CEO Steven Lambert has been elected chairman of the American Financial Services Association (AFSA) for the 2008-2009 term. Lambert will lead the trade association after more than 16 years at NMAC, where he has served as president/CEO since 2002.

"Representing all the interests of a broad base of constituents – from large to small companies – both consistently and fairly is a difficult task," Lambert said. "However, AFSA serves its members in a way that communicates Americans' need for access to credit that is priced appropriately and responsibly."

Lambert assumed his current role at NMAC in 2002, after working for 10 years as an executive in the Nissan's sales division. He holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering and an MBA from Brigham Young University.

An in-depth interview with Lambert can be found at AFSA's Website.
