SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — Arrest warrants have been issued for three Omaha-area dealership executives after 81 new Toyotas and Fords went missing from Legacy Ford Lincoln Mercury Toyota last Monday night, according to an article in USA Today.

Owner Allen Patch, controller Rachel Fait and general manager Rick Covello are wanted on suspicion of theft. Covello has contacted Scottsbluff County authorities and agreed to meet with investigators today. The whereabouts of Patch and Fait are unknown.

Title manager Miranda Cervantes found Legacy's lot nearly empty on Tuesday morning. Upon entering the offices, she discovered that the three suspects' desks had been cleaned out. The FBI has already tracked down several of the missing vehicles, including two dozen at an auction in Salt Lake City, where 16 had already been sold. Authorities believe the trio's plan was to move the vehicles before selling them in order to avoid paying back their floorplan financier.
