April 08, 2009

PORTLAND, Ore. — Compliance solutions provider Compli will present a free Webinar entitled "The Employee Free Choice Act: Are You Ready for a Mandatory Card Check?" on Wed., April 22 at 12 p.m. ET.

The one-hour presentation will address the potential passage of the Employee Free Choice Act from the dealership perspective. Host Chris Hoffman, a partner at Atlanta-based Fisher & Phillips LLP, plans to discuss the following topics:

• What the card check process will entail

• A rule change on bargaining which would impose a mandatory interest arbitration on those parties who fail to reach an agreement on their own within 130 days

• Tougher penalties for employers who commit "unfair labor practices"

• How to reduce your company’s vulnerability to organizing while there is still time

The presentation will close with a Q&A session. Attendees can register for the Webinar here.
