CHICAGO — On Friday, May 8 at noon ET, Cars.com will host "Lights, Camera, Sold: Leverage Online Video to Desk More Deals." The free, one-hour Webinar will discuss how dealers can use video to connect with in-market shoppers, raise inventory visibility and increase sales.

"Video allows dealers to provide car buyers with the complete picture of what they can expect — from the car itself to the experience of buying and owning the vehicle," said Ralph Ebersole, Cars.com's director of automotive consulting and dealer training. "It also deepens the emotional connection with the shopper that accelerates the sale."

Ebersole will moderate the DealerADvantage Live session. He will be joined by Rob Fontano, Internet sales director for Naples, Fla.-based John Marazzi Nissan; and Joe Webb, president/consultant of Dealer Knows. Attendees will get tips on how to properly showcase vehicles, build rapport with online shoppers and promote their dealerships, among other topics.

"Successfully adding video to your Website and third-party listings doesn’t require high-end gear or a professional production company," Ebersole said. "We've seen dealers drive excellent results with a low-cost Flip camera and a quick walk-around review of the car. Buyers mainly want that added bit of information to assure them they’ve found the right vehicle and the right place to purchase it."

Dealers can register to attend the event and view archived recordings of past events at Cars.com’s DealerCenter. Dealers do not have to be Cars.com customers to attend, but they must download free WebEx software to participate.
