DAYTON, Ohio, and SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — The Reynolds and Reynolds Company and Experian Automotive announced the availability of AutoCheck Plus vehicle history reports on Reynolds' POWER dealership management system (DMS).

With AutoCheck Plus, dealership personnel can view Experian’s AutoCheck vehicle history reports from any POWER workstation throughout the dealership. Easy access to vehicle history reports provides dealers with up-to-date title and history information to help them improve how they manage their used vehicle inventories and how they market those cars to consumers.

“Vehicle history reports are a proven tool in helping dealers make the best decisions about which cars to offer to their customers based on factors that affect a car’s resale value,” said Jon Strawsburg, vice president of product planning at Reynolds and Reynolds. “The advantage of AutoCheck Plus is the automated access to the reports. With this improvement in the POWER DMS, dealerships will have these reports at their fingertips, which will enable them to more consistently use the information to make decisions about which vehicles to offer for sale to their customers. This solution eliminates the time – and keystrokes – to run these reports manually."

AutoCheck reports include the AutoCheck Score, which provides a quick and easy way to understand a vehicle’s past and compare it to similar vehicles. AutoCheck reports also have two times the number of reported accidents than the competing vehicle history provider, according to recent research. These features from AutoCheck can lower the risk of buying and selling a vehicle with undetected problems and further increase consumer confidence about their car purchase.

“In addition to the dealer need to run vehicle history reports, consumers have come to demand a vehicle history report for every used vehicle they are interested in purchasing,” said Scott Waldron, president of Experian Automotive. “We’re pleased to work with Reynolds to eliminate the manual steps for running AutoCheck vehicle history reports so that dealerships can more quickly and easily provide these reports to their customers from screens within the POWER system or in a printed report.”

AutoCheck reports also can be added to a dealer’s Website for direct consumer access.
