Leslie Nielsen’s Runaway Car Video Still a Classic

LOS ANGELES — Fans of actor Leslie Nielsen, who died Sunday at the age of 84, are following USA Today blogger Chris Woodyard to YouTube this week. The paper’s “Drive On” columnist paid tribute to the Naked Gun star by dedicating Monday’s blog entry to his memory.

“He leaves behind mountains of footage, probably best viewed bit by bit,” Woodyard wrote. “At first, we couldn't remember that many involving cars. But a little searching brought up this one from the Naked Gun movies.”

In the clip, below, bungling crimefighter Lt. Frank Drebin’s accidental airbag deployment triggers a disastrous chain of events in a scene from 1988’s The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! … Enjoy!
