Weve talked about it before so I thought I would start the neverending thread,,post what you had last night or what you intend or just your favorite....I like them all pretty much! As of late its gone from blue moon beer, to the old trusty Newcastle, or budlight when Im out playing golf, to yesterday, grolosh,,now that's a pretty stout beer if I spelled it right. its the one with the porceline lid. comes in 16oz only...and friday night was straight up sam adams and shots of huredura, Tequila....and nope it didn't ta kill me..im a conservative with that stuff, it will come back and make you look stupid if ya don't watch it....learned from experiance

Grolsch, funny how there is porcelane on the container and there will be yet more porcelane(I know I didn't spell it right) involved in its departure no matter what form it takes when it leaves. Tequila story?? No way, not on this forum. Its way too funny(and graphic) to be discussed here.. Got together with Captian Morgan this weekend.. The private stock.. I'm waiting to get my cell phone back from the shop (got spilled on) so I can see all the pics I took and re-create my weekend cuz everyone I was with can't remember either...

Went to a Haloween party on Sat night. Had to be the driver so I picked up an 8 eight pack of Molson Cols Shots. Not sure if they have them in the US, but they're a small can about 8oz I think of 6.5% beer. Really good in the way that your beer stays cold all the way to the bottomand they chill much much faster. I think that's probably the idea behind the new mini bottles of Corona. Makes sense since Corona is only good ice cold. But man is it good ice cold.

Oh, and does anyone have a proven (to them anyway) way to learn to enjoy a beverage that does not sit well woth them. I would really like to enjoy a nice scotch. However the smell of scotch makes me naseaus (sp). It goes back to when I was 17 and the Pizza Hut I worked at had our Christmas party in a bar. Shooters were about $3.50 and a rusty nail (1/2 Scotch 1/2 Drambuie) was $4.50. Well the mathamatician in me can tell that 4.50 for 2 oz is better than 3.50 for 1 oz. 16 of these later I have an aversion to the smell of scotch. What a Wednesday night that was. I even made it to my 9:00 AM Calculus class.

I have this group of friends that I party with that throw a big party 2 or 3 times a year and they have created this concoction. Its called "Nazi Water". Its Everclear and Cinnamon schnaps. It tastes ok but you'll find the floor in a hurry if you drink too much too fast. Iv'e seen many a victim (myself included) fall prey to it.

No way, Jim beam and Josh had a major battle in the 10th grade, everytime I smell the stuff I re live the horrible moments it caused me with the tree in my buddies yard, I vowed to the tree and Jim Beam that night, that, I would never, ever ever ever touch the stuff again, and I have not.

Da Bear Speaks:

Haven't been on good terms with Southern Comfort since a bad night in college.

As for Scotch....so long as you haven't had an episode involving you, scotch and the porcelain throne....you can develop a taste for it. I did many years ago and don't drink any other hard spirit. Don't buy the cheap stuff. Buy a good single malt (ask at the liquor store) and pour a good glass..no water or soda...just ice. Scotch is best enjoyed as a nice relaxing drink. Goes very well with a cigar or a good steak.

My wife had a bad experience with Hot Damn! in college and to this day gets gaggy when we pass anywhere in a store or mall and she smells cinnamon I think it's somewhat humourous but of course she doesn't think so. I've never drank anything too much that made me swear off it forever....for a few years maybe...but not forever!

Well Hell, Josh!
Sunday was going to be one of those quiet days that my wonderful wife and I would relax. She arrived home from Dallas on Saturday after having spent a week and she was spent from the journey after having a flight cancelled in DFW. However, we agreed to allow our home to be used for a wedding shower being given by the future mother-in-law of one of our sons. It was scheduled from 3-5. Guests began arriving about 2:50 and guess who wasn't there? You got it, the future MIL which left us in a precarious situation to say the least. We scrambled to arrange the furniture in such a way as to accomodate a large gathering of women (control yourself Jim) and set our dining room to accomodate hors d'oeuvres and punch except there was neither yet because of the belatedness of the aforementioned FMIL. So, in my kind genteel manner I offered the arriving guest's adult beverages since I had nothing else. Well, I got the "Holier Than Thou" and "I don't drink on Sunday" look of condescension from the oldest of the spinsters who in effect caused the younger would be drinkers not to join me. Well after the shower was SUPPOSED to begin the FMIL who was SUPPOSED to be the host arrived without apologizing for her tardiness. I graciously helped her get the food and drink items into the kitchen whereupon she disappears into the living room to play the girl games that go on at these events. My wife looks at me and whispers "What do we do now?". I responded "WTF do I know?" She said "I need a strong glass of wine, please" "No problem" as I poured her one. Obviously the FMIL expected us to be the host so with the kids in mind we set about our chore. After getting everything ready I asked my wife if there was anything else I could do and she said no. So I took the remainder of the first bottle upstairs with me to watch a little NASCAR. About 45 min rolls around and one of the grand's calls up the stairs that I'm needed and to hurry. I go bounding down the stairs and round the corner to find another of the grand's has pulled a 1.75L of Cabernet Savignon off the rack and onto the white tile floor. I couldn't decide which was worse-the small cut on her finger or all of that beautiful red wine being soaked up by the white grout surrounding the tile. JUST KIDDING, all the wine in the world isn't worth one hair of her head. I was still cleaning red wine out of the grout until 9:00. Afterward we went back upstairs with the second bottle to finally unwind and enjoy what little was left of our planned quiet Sunday............

Hell, I was so pist about my tile that I didn't even take any pix. As far as the females, I'm certain my beloved snapped a few but I don't know where they are and if I ask her for them I'll have to go through 40 questions as why I'm posting females on the net. Sorry......
