In response to dealer demand and changing buyers' needs, CNA National has designed a service contract program specifically for high-mileage used vehicles, according to Joe Becker, senior vice president of sales.

"American car buyers are keeping their vehicles longer than ever before, and used vehicles are a growing segment for franchised new-car dealers," Becker explained. "These factors -- combined with the importance of F&I income to overall dealership profitability -- led us to develop a service contract program just for high-mileage used vehicles."

Called MileMax(SM), the program offers basic coverage for the engine, transmission, drive assembly, suspension, steering, brakes, electrical and air conditioning; seals and gaskets are optional for vehicles with up to 100,000 miles at the time of sale.

Each contract automatically provides important consumer benefits, including rental car reimbursement up to $125, towing reimbursement up to $100, emergency roadside assistance reimbursement up to $50, and travel loding reimbursement up to $225.

Although the coverage is more limited than CNA National's standard service contract program, dealers and their customers can still count on the company's superior claim service and the fastest payment turnaround in the industry. "We've been known for years as the best administrator in the business, and that won't change," Becker said. "The majority of our adjusters are ASE-certified, and our telephone hold times have never been lower."
