The American International Automobile Dealers Association (AIADA) has teamed with Microsoft CarPoint to sponsor a new award designed to

recognize automobile dealerships and sales representatives that excel in meeting the needs of today's Internet-savvy automobile consumers.

Nominations are now being accepted for the first ever Auto E-tailer of the Year Awards. America's top dealership, along with salespeople from each region, will be honored for demonstrating an outstanding commitment to

Internet sales through innovation, investment, training and excellence in customer handling. An independent panel of industry, consumer and Internet experts will select winners.

The winners of the awards will be announced on Feb. 5, 2001 at AIADA's 31st Annual Meeting and Luncheon in Las Vegas, held in conjunction with the annual National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) convention.

All qualified dealerships and sales representatives are encouraged to apply.

Nominees need not be members of either MSN Carpoint or AIADA to participate. Nomination forms can be downloaded from http://www.carpoint.com/awards/entry

or received by dialing the toll-free number 1-866-610-9763.

Nomination forms must be received no later than Nov. 15.
