Arkona Inc., a marketer of automobile dealer management solutions, on April 23 announced that its board of directors has named Richard Holland, formerly executive vice president of the company, as president of Arkona.

Alan Rudd remains as CEO and chairman where he will continue to run the ongoing business operations of Arkona.

"Arkona is poised to move into a period of rapid growth and market expansion," Rudd said. "Richard's unique combination of technical and business expertise will strengthen our ability to manage that growth while keeping the company on the forefront of

innovation."

Holland has been designing and developing cutting-edge technology solutions for more than 23 years. As co-founder and chief executive officer of Ensign Information Systems, he was the chief system architect for their suite of

fully integrated business management software.

Holland joined Arkona last November as a result of the merger of Ensign and ARKONA. His prior

experience in the industry includes management positions with Advanced Computer Systems (ACS), CarsDyatron, SunGard and ADP.
