Auction Broadcasting Company (ABC) discussed the addition of new dealer services, the continued expansion of ABC's Internet service, the future of technology in the company, and other immediate and long-term goals at its first annual corporate managers meeting April 29 through May 1 in Indianapolis, Ind.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss new initiatives and conduct future strategic planning for the company, according to Trent Knox, ABC's chief operating officer. ABC's general managers, as well as controllers, corporate staff and partners -- more than 50 people in all -- attended the three-day gathering.

"The value of this kind of meeting can't be overemphasized," Knox said. "Wnen you are able to gather all of the general managers and other key people together, you gain a wealth of information and knowledge as you plan the course for the company. During our time together, we were able to strategize future goals and outline many of the new and exciting services and initiatives ABC plans on implementing in the future."

"This annual meeting speaks to the very core of ABC's business philosophy by evidencing that this is a shared endeavor, and that everyone participates in the direction and progress of the company," agreed Bob Rauschenberg, vice president of ABC. "Our unified focus enables ABC to identify and implement those initiatives that will continue to place ABC at the forefront of dealer services."
