ADESA Corporation on May 23 announced several changes in management.

Warren Byrd has been promoted to senior vice president of information services. In his new position, Byrd will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating information services throughout the company and will manage Information Technology and e-Business Services.

Byrd, who joined ADESA in 1994, first served as general counsel and was later promoted to vice president of corporate development.

"ADESA is excited to promote one of its own," said Jim Hallett, president and CEO of ADESA Corp. "Warren will add a strong business perspective in managing information services and will help to elevate the role information strategies play in our business."

Bill Stackhouse, chief financial officer, will assume corporate development responsibilities. Stackhouse will provide oversight of the several large auction development projects currently underway, and he will be in charge of the company's efforts to continue expansion through accretive acquisitions.

Karen Turner, general counsel of ADESA, has been promoted to senior vice president. In addition to her duties as manager of the legal and risk management areas, Turner is assuming responsibility for the company's human resources department. This includes oversight of the benefits, payroll and employee relations functions for ADESA's 10,000 plus employees in the United States and Canada.

Tony Moorby, executive vice president of ADESA Corp., assumes increased leadership responsibilities by overseeing ADESA's national sales team. Don Elliott, vice president of sales, and the national sales team members will report to Moorby.

"Working his way up from the sales side of the auction business to CEO of ADT Automotive, Tony is a natural fit for directing ADESA's sales efforts," said Hallett. "Tony has helped to lead the industry for many years, and his recognized skills in customer relations will advance ADESA's goal of continually improving customer service."
