Toyota Financial Services (TFS) recognized Jack and Dana Grogger for being the "100 Billion Dollar Customers" at a ceremony at the Toyota of Orange dealership in Orange, Calif., on June 11. TFS paid off the outstanding balance on
the Groggers' 2001 Tacoma truck to celebrate the
company¹s achievement of purchasing more than $100 billion in retail and lease contracts since
1983.
Mike Deaderick, senior vice president for TFS, and Dave Pelliccioni, vice president for sales,
marketing, and operations, greeted the Groggers
and their son, Luke, at the dealership. The family was presented with a framed award letter, the title to the truck, and a Toyota travel bag filled with Toyota merchandise.
Joining in the festivities were Joe Ehlert, general sales manager for Toyota of Orange, and Shirley Cramer, TFS branch manager for Irvine, Calif.
"I was so shocked!" said Dana Grogger. "I thought it was a practical joke when I received the call from Toyota Financial Services." TFS assured them that it was real, and faxed them a letter confirming the award. "This is so exciting for us!" Jack Grogger said.
