Shaun Coyne joined Toyota Financial Services (TFS) as vice president and chief information officer on Jan. 17, taking responsibility for the company's Business Technology and Information Systems groups.

Coyne, who brings more than 22 years of experience to the organization, will report directly to George Borst, president and CEO of TFS.

"At TFS, we continue to develop a high-tech/high-touch environment where we use technology to enable us to deliver personalized service to our customers, as well as streamline business applications for our employees," Borst said. "Shaun's experience and leadership will be instrumental in the implementation and support of TFS' present and future technology initiatives, which will in turn help us reach our financial and customer service goals."

Prior to joining TFS, Coyne worked for General Electric, holding executive positions such as chief technology officer of GE Capital Real Estate and vice president of information technology for GE Global Consumer Finance.

In addition to GE, Coyne has worked for both Chase Manhattan Bank and Citicorp/Citibank.

Coyne received a bachelor of science degree in computer information systems and marketing from Manhattan College in New York.
