The board of directors of The Reynolds and Reynolds Company elected Apr. 18 Stephanie W. Bergeron, 48, as a director of the company.

Bergeron is senior vice president, corporate financial operations and treasurer for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. She joined Goodyear as vice president and treasurer in December 1998 after having served for 10 years in financial management positions with DaimlerChrysler AG and Chrysler Corp, where she was DaimlerChrysler's vice president and assistant treasurer, and Chrysler's assistant treasurer, corporate finance director, manufacturing group controller and general auditor.

From 1977 to 1988, she held various accounting and financial management positions with General Motors Corp., including director of business operations for its seating unit.

Bergeron, a graduate of the University of Michigan, earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Detroit in 1981. She is also a certified public accountant and a member of the board of trustees of Walsh College in Troy, Mich.
