Car and truck shoppers surfing the Internet for a new Ford, Lincoln or Mercury will be able to access a new series of dealer Web sites that

include real-time dealer inventories and vehicle window stickers, the company announced July 11.

The automaker developed the new sites after

consulting with dealers about what features customers are demanding, according to spokeswoman Susan Krusel. Dealers can customize the Web sites with up to 50 themes such as holidays, seasonal promotions or featuring

a specific vehicle.

Customers will be able to access real-time inventories of new and used vehicles, product specifications, a payment estimator with trade-in values, credit approval and special offers through the sites, according to the Associated Press.
