Ford announced August 19 that it is extending incentives on 2002 models and enhancing rebates on the Mustang, Windstar and Explorer models.

According to the company, cash rebates of up to $3,500 or 0.0 percent financing are extended on most 2002 Ford brand models until Sept. 30, up from the original September 3 cut-off date.

Finance rates have been reduced to 0.0 percent on the Mustang, four-door Explorer and two-door Explorer Sport for contracts up to 60 months, while rebates on the Mustang, Windstar, Explorer Sport and Explorer SportTrac have been increased.

Ford says that for 2003 models, $500 to $1,000 rebates or finance rates of 3.9 to 5.9 percent are on offer, but the Thunderbird, Escape and Expedition are excluded.
