Manheim Auctions has announced that David Nutter, formerly vice president of reconditioning operations, has been named vice president operations - reconditioning/added-value services.

In addition to his current responsibilities in managing Manheim’s reconditioning operations, Nutter will also now coordinate with Manheim’s “allied businesses,” including Manheim Automotive Financial Services, Dent Wizard, Chip Wizard and Remarketing Solutions, to provide more services at Manheim auction locations. He will also be developing and implementing new services to be offered to customers at Manheim’s auctions.

“In assuming these additional responsibilities, David will focus on how to best develop our allied businesses within our auction network in an effort to provide more and better services for our customers,” said Jamie Porter, senior vice president of operations. “With his background and his proven ability in enhancing efficiencies throughout Manheim’s reconditioning operations, David is the ideal candidate to coordinate and grow our presence in these services – and new offerings – at our auctions.”

According to the company, Nutter has been in the auto auction business for more than a decade. He joined Manheim in October 2000, when the company acquired ADT Automotive. He was most previously director of logistical operations for ADT, with responsibility for all of its non-auction businesses. Nutter first served as an internal auditor upon joining ADT in 1988. In 1991, he was named director of internal audit, was promoted to regional business manager three years later and was named director of logistical operations in 1999.
