The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) has announced that it has expanded its Web site at www.nada.org with more features for car shoppers. The site also has a new design, enhanced navigation and helpful new features for the association's dealer members.

"The nada.org site continues to grow as a complete resource for retail automotive news, consumer auto information and dealer member services," said Annette Sykora, NADA Public Affairs Committee chairwoman.

The new site features an "Auto Shopping" section for consumers, including:

  • A vehicle locator that allows car shoppers to search an online inventory of vehicles from dealerships nationwide – more than 1 million new and used cars, light trucks, minivans and SUVs. The customer then works directly with the dealership — online, by phone or in-person — to get additional information or to complete the transaction.

  • A dealer locator with nearly 20,000 NADA dealers. Many listings allow visitors to click through to the dealership Web site or view inventory of new and used vehicle inventory.

  • Links to MSRP and invoice prices, independent car reviews, consumer advice and access to used-vehicle values in the N.A.D.A. Official Used Car Guide.

The redesigned site also has new features to allow greater ease of navigation for all users, including NADA’s dealer members.

  • The "E-mail to a Friend" feature allows users to send a link to a page of interest to a colleague.

  • A navigation menu at the top of every page allows users to access content throughout the site from any page.

  • Members can log on to the site directly from the home page, then access all password-protected content throughout the site.

The consumer content on nada.org was developed in cooperation with The Cobalt Group (www.cobaltgroup.com), a provider of Internet solutions for the automotive industry. The nada.org site is part of NADA’s ongoing initiative with Cobalt to provide a comprehensive resource for online car shoppers and support dealer efforts to actively serve Internet customers.

The National Automobile Dealers Association represents more than 19,400 new car and truck dealers, with more than 49,300 separate franchises, both domestic and import.
