AutoTradeCenter Announces National Launch of Subaru Internet Remarketing Program

March 14, 2003

AutoTradeCenter announced Mar. 14 the national launch of its Internet remarketing solution for Subaru of America, Inc. called SubaruSOLD (Select Off Lease Direct). The company says SubaruSOLD is designed to remarket Subaru’s off lease portfolio to over 550 Subaru franchised dealers across the United States before physical auction. The program is comprised of a 6-day process including online grounding, hosting of private and open auctions, plus a variety of backend services such as handling funds and title transfers.

According to the company, receiving dealers are offered a 2-day “first right of refusal” whereby they can purchase the grounded vehicle at a set price on the SubaruSOLD private site. If they decline, the vehicle remains on the site, and becomes available to Subaru’s franchise dealer body who can bid for an additional two (2) days. If the vehicle remains unsold after its period on the private site, it will then roll over to ATCs “OPEN AUCTION” web site where it becomes available to thousands of registered dealers across the country for an additional two days.

“In preparation for the national roll-out of SubaruSOLD, a pre-registration campaign was conducted by ATCs Dealer Services support team,” stated Steven G. Wheeler, vice president of sales for Auto TradeCenter. “It is important for the success of any Internet remarketing program for dealers to be comfortable and knowledgeable with the systems’ features and business benefits," continued Wheeler. "With this in mind, ATC provides one-on one, in-depth phone and interactive internet training with each of Subaru’s registered dealers, to ensure ease of operation and successful results.”
