JM Family Enterprises, Inc., (JMFE) announced Mar. 28

that Corliss "Corky" J. Nelson has joined the company as executive vice

president and chief financial officer. The announcement was made by

President and CEO Colin Brown.

Nelson will oversee the company's financial operations including treasury,

tax, accounting and risk management and will report to the CEO. He will

also serve on JMFE's Executive Management Team which oversees the

development and implementation of the company's strategies for future

growth.

Nelson was formerly senior executive vice president and chief financial

officer of Ryder System, Inc., where he also served on its Board of

Directors. Prior to that, Nelson worked at privately owned Koch Industries,

Inc., a diversified natural resources company, where he served as president

of its Capital Services Group and president of Koch Industries

International.

Nelson holds a bachelor of science degree in finance and accounting from

California State Polytechnic University. He is a member of the Financial

Executive Institute, board member of the New World Symphony and member of

the Business Advisory Council of Orfalea College of Business at California

State Polytechnic University where he received its Distinguished Alumni

Award. Nelson and his wife Mary Kay currently reside in Pinecrest, Florida

and have three grown children.
