DaimlerChrysler Services North America LLC

announced May 29 it has appointed Eckart Klumpp, vice president,

remarketing, replacing Kelly Mankin.

In his new position, Klumpp will direct more than 300 people involved in

remarketing process disciplines, including pre-termination and

post-termination remarketing, Internet and dealer purchase programs and

general support staff.

Klumpp, who has thirteen years of experience in DaimlerChrysler AG's

corporate auditing department, has most recently been senior manager, Global Sales and Marketing on the Financial Services Audit Team. Klumpp

assumes responsibility for managing the remarketing operations in the U.S.

for the Mercedes-Benz Credit and Chrysler Financial brands.

"We believe that our remarketing process is the industry benchmark and

Mankin has significantly contributed to its success," said Mark Manzo, vice

president, Customer Service. "While we will miss Kelly's leadership and

strategic direction, however, we can look forward to Eckart's broad

experience that dates back to the beginning of the remarketing process

created at Mercedes-Benz Credit."

Mankin assumes the role of chief operating officer at RouteOne, a joint

venture with DaimlerChrysler Services, Ford Motor Credit Company, General

Motors Acceptance and Toyota Financial Services Corporation. In this role,

Mankin is responsible for managing all sales, marketing, communications and

operation related functions for RouteOne.
