Zablo.com, Inc. on Nov. 5 announced a new service for its automotive clients. The new service, targeted at car dealerships nationwide, is designed to help dealers comply with the FTC's new policy regarding outgoing telemarketing calls.

The FTC has begun requiring that individual companies, including car dealerships, offer a "company-specific" do-not-call list. This is in addition to the nationwide do-not-call registry and because of this new government requirement, Zablo.com has developed the technology to help dealerships nationwide comply with the FTC's new ruling.

With Zablo's new Do-Not-Call List Manager, each dealership is set up with an account which enables them to add or remove the phone numbers of customers who have requested to be removed from the dealership's individual calling list. Each time a salesman, or other dealership employee, wishes to make an outgoing phone call, they may visit a Web site and enter the customer's phone number. The system will then respond, and notify the salesman if the customer appears on the dealership's "company-specific" do-not-call list and, in addition, it will also search the FTC's national do-not-call registry.

Zablo introduced its first service for car dealers nearly two years ago when it released its AutoCertificate popup coupon technology. With nearly 100 clients nationwide, AutoCertificate has been extremely successful. Zablo's new service offering is already in use by several dealers around the country. Beginning Nov. 5, it will be available to any dealership.

"I'm glad we have been able to develop the technology to offer dealerships an inexpensive way to comply with the FTC's new ruling on telemarketing," said Cameron Johnson, the company's founder and CEO. "Our technology allows dealerships to protect themselves against the government's fines and helps the dealer establish a policy for complying with the National Do-Not-Call Registry."

Zablo.com Inc. is a privately held company based in Roanoke, Va., providing Web-based services to dealerships nationwide. Cameron Johnson, its 18-year-old founder and CEO, launched the company almost two years ago while working in his family's Ford dealership.

Cameron has owned more than 10 successful businesses since he was nine years old. When he was 15, he became an advisory board member for a Tokyo-based company and a best-selling biography book was released on his life in Japan in 2000.

He has given more than 50 speeches around the world and has been ranked among the nation's top young entrepreneurs. He is currently a freshman in college. Each of his companies has several employees.

Randy Morse, a systems engineer and customer service specialist, has joined Zablo to head up and manage the new Do-Not-Call List Manager service. For further information, Morse may be reached via email at [email protected] or toll-free by telephone at (866) 213-3011.
