UDS Launches Dealer Protection Initiative

March 29, 2004

CLEARWATER, Fla.--United Development Systems Inc. has developed a new initiative to protect its dealers.

Called Seven Layers of Protection, the program includes four staff certification programs, a draft of policies and standards, and protocol for a compliance review. The certification programs cover F&I basics, the Automenu system, F&I ethics and compliance. They culminate in written and video exams.

UDS developed the program in response to the increasing number of lawsuits against dealers. "Lawyers' pursuit of dealers for personal enrichment has gone too far," said Randy Crisorio, president and CEO of UDS. "We must seek relief from the bottom up within our own stores."
