ATLANTA -- Car buyers may be comparing their experiences in the F&I office at a new Web site created for that purpose. Clear Intelligence, a consumer research company, launched www.mydealerreport.com to provide a consumer-driven ranking of auto dealerships.

The site uses a survey system to let consumers list, rate and review a dealership by state, city and brand. The service lists over 10,000 franchise dealers. Consumers can also add independent dealers to the database.

The system specifically rates the buying process, salespeople's expertise, vehicle selection, financing options, the trade-in process, the service department, amenities, past or pending lawsuits and other legal issues. Consumers can enter more specific comments as well.

The site charges consumers $14.99 for single reports and $49.99 for unlimited reports for one month.
