FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -- Bank of America has purchased DaimlerChrysler Services North America's Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Mercedes-Benz consumer credit card portfolios with approximately 160,000 accounts.

"DaimlerChrysler Services, with the guidance of First Annapolis Capital, has selected Bank of America in our continued efforts to provide our cardholders with enriched benefits from our Rewards credit card program," said Kathryn Blake, director, credit card operations for DaimlerChrysler Services North America.

Bank of America will be the new issuer of the Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Mercedes-Benz Visa consumer credit cards. For current cardholders, the transition will be seamless with no interruption in service or rewards earning power. The change will also be automatic for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge dealers as they offer credit card applications at the dealership point-of-sale.

"Bank of America is pleased to join forces with DaimlerChrysler Services North America, and we look forward to building upon their established portfolio," said James Sebo, senior vice president, partnership marketing, Bank of America.
