Dealers to Share Best Practices at NAF Association Workshop

PITTSBURGH -- The National Automotive Finance Association will present a day-long workshop, Consumer Advocacy Practices in Auto Financing, on Sept. 15 at the Embassy Suites Outdoor World, Dallas/Fort Worth Airport.

The industry is moving to more transparency and clearer, more accurate communication in the sales financing contract. Panels of experts -- legal, auto dealer, lender, vendor and trade associations -- will discuss best practices in automotive financing that help improve customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance and profitability for dealerships. Dealer panelists will share new programs and procedures that work for them. Participants will have ample opportunity to exchange information and to ask questions.

NADA Projects Better Sales in Second Half of 2004

MCLEAN, Va. -- New vehicle sales should gain strength in the second half of 2004, said the National Automobile Dealer Association's chief economist, Paul Taylor. He projects that year-end sales will reach 16.8 million vehicles.
