Beginning in 2005, a Customer Advocate Notice created by the Association of Finance & Insurance Professionals will be included in the paperwork for car buyers.

This document is intended to assure customers that the dealer has acted ethically and tell legislators and regulators that no additional rules are needed.

AFIP has added this notice as a way to track equitable business practices. The association will assist in the coordination of a resolution to any problems that arise between the F&I office and consumers.

F&I Management & Technology readers may submit comments at [email protected].
