DAYTON, Ohio –- Finbarr J. O'Neill has left the position of president and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors North America to join Reynolds and Reynolds in the same capacity.

Before joining Mitsubishi in 2003, O'Neill served in a variety of executive positions with Hyundai Motor America since 1985. While at Hyundai, the company experienced a 400 percent increase in profitable sales and measurable improvements in marketing and brand image as well as consumer and dealer satisfaction.

Between 1998 and 2003, Hyundai also saw its vehicle sales increase nearly 300 percent, from just over 90,000 units to more than 350,000 units.

O'Neill has also been an executive with Toyota Motor Sales USA, Inc. Today he serves as board chairman of the Association of International Automobile Manufacturers.

"[O'Neill] is a proven leader with strong operational experience and innate instincts in marketing and sales," said Phil Odeen, chairman of Reynolds and Reynolds. "While at Hyundai, he built lasting relationships with its dealers because of his desire to understand their business issues as he engineered an impressive turnaround."

Odeen has served as chairman and acting CEO since July 2004. He will remain chairman. O'Neill will also serve on the company's board of directors.
