LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- Driven by a state-of-the-art agent-training program, GE Auto Warranty Services continued to increase its number of active auto dealerships by 36 percent during a 12-month period, the company announced.

The GE Auto Warranty Services agent certification course is an in-depth product, service and technology training program that is positively impacting agent productivity. More than 200 agents completed the program, increasing sales effectiveness, support and customer retention for dealers.

"This program is a perfect illustration of the GE commitment to integrity, quality and customer service," said Jim Slavik, president of GE Auto Warranty Services. "We have established a basis of trust customers can rely on and that is driving exceptional growth."

Slavik believes the growing number of dealer affiliations also can be attributed to an integrated structure.

"All product development, underwriting and servicing are managed and owned by GE Auto Warranty Services," Slavik said. "I think customers are naturally drawn to convenience and simplicity."
