CarsDirect Acquires 1-800 Communications

LOS ANGELES -- CarsDirect announced the acquisition of 1-800 Communications, a special finance leads provider for auto dealers.

The acquisition gives CarsDirect a new sales tool for its dealer network, and helps its customers with low credit scores who are researching, financing or buying new vehicles.

"Less than perfect credit should not be a roadblock to getting a new vehicle. By adding this additional expertise, we can now offer even broader finance alternatives," said Bob Brisco, president and CEO of CarsDirect.

To ensure smooth integration of the companies Stuart Heller, founder and CEO of 1-800 Communications, based in Hicksville, N.Y., will join CarsDirect at its headquarters in Los Angeles.
