GM to Boost Buick Warranty for '06 Vehicles

DETROIT -- General Motors is looking to extend its warranty for all 2006 Buick models in an effort to draw current pricing to a more valuable standard, essentially offering car buyers more bang for their buck.

Automotive News reported that GM plans to increase its warranty coverage on the new Buicks from three years or 36,000 miles to four years or 50,000 miles.

In addition to attractive guarantees, GM will be upgrading its on-board systems by making OnStar a standard feature on all models beginning in 2006. Part of the offer includes roadside assistance and courtesy transportation.

With domestic sales down 8.4 percent so far in 2005, Buick’s new features look to bolster consumer interest.
