Consumers will get an in-depth look at F&I practices through a Web site launched by a group of auto dealers and lenders, reported Automotive News.

Formed in March, the coalition Americans Well-informed on Automobile Retailing Economics (AWARE) was started by the National Automobile Dealers Association and the American Financial Services Association.

The site, www.autofinancing101.org, helps consumers prepare for a vehicle purchase. Consumers are advised to know their credit scores before visiting a dealership, set a realistic price range for the purchase and compare interest rates and financing terms from different sources, according to Automotive News.
