Dent Wizard Appoints National Director of F&I

ST. LOUIS -– Dent Wizard, a provider of paintless dent removal technology, has appointed Al Longo to national director of finance and insurance. Longo will assume his new role effective Jan. 1, 2006 and will take his experience and best practices as a district sales manager to all Dent Wizard markets nationally.

“Dent Wizard’s finance product is in a high growth mode right now and Al will be able to truly demonstrate the impact of the product to dealers, especially in the F&I area,” said Lindsey Bird, vice president sales for Dent Wizard.

Specifically, Longo will focus on Ding Shield, Dent Wizard’s prepaid dent and ding service plan offered in 36-, 48- or 60-month options with no customer deductible.

Longo has served as district sales manager at Dent Wizard for the Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia territories since 2002. Prior to that, he was operations and customer relations director for BMW of Towson, Md., where he was responsible for the development of its $4 million facility. His additional experience includes three years as a service manager at Allstate Leasing in Owings Mills, Md. and six years as operations manager at Donahue Ambulance in Scranton, Pa.

Ford Offers "Keep It Simple" Plan to Keep Pace with GM

DETROIT -- Ford Motor Co.'s response to General Motors' latest incentive program is its "Keep It Simple" plan. Instead of the value pricing it has promoted in recent months, this is more similar to the employee-pricing deals of the summer, reported The Detroit News.
