SAN DIEGO—IntelliChoice.com announced the winners of its eighth annual ranking of certified pre-owned programs, according to Auto Remarketing News. Cadillac earned top honors at No. 1 in the luxury category, while Volkswagen received the top honor in the non-luxury category.

As for the Overall Brand rankings, Lexus received No. 1 in the luxury class, while Scion earned the same award in the non-luxury group.

The criteria for this year’s awards differed from last year in order to accommodate consumer demand for comprehensive warranty programs and strong vehicle value, according to IntelliChoice.com

Other top winners were Volvo, which has been in the top five of the luxury class for the second year, along with Lexus. In the non-luxury group Honda earned the second place ranking. Number three, Scion, joined the list for the first time.

After reviewing warranties, IntelliChoice.com found that Cadillac, Hummer and Saab all tied for top honors in the luxury group, while Audi, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedez-Benz and Volvo tied for No. 1 in the Best Inspection category.

In the non-luxury class, Volkswagen tied for Best Warranty and Suzuki received the Best Inspection honor.
