NEW YORK — Interstate National Dealer Services Inc. (INDS), one of the oldest administrators of vehicle service contracts and extended warranties in the United States, is pleased to announce that it has reached a comprehensive agreement with

General Fidelity Insurance Company (GFIC), a subsidiary of Bank of America, under which GFIC will provide insurance backing for many of INDS’ product offerings.

“This relationship will allow INDS to pursue our aggressive goals to grow our unique company, while providing consumers with products that are insured by a substantial insurer,” said Shaun Fetherston, CEO of INDS. “We see a great opportunity for growth; and the need for professionally structured and insured service contracts. The combination of GFIC’s AM Best’s rating of A- (Excellent) and Financial Size category IX ($250 - $500 Million in Capital and Surplus); and INDS’ 27 years experience in service contract administration will provide a win-win opportunity for dealers and consumers.”

“General Fidelity is pleased to partner with INDS," said Guy Koenig, senior vice president at Bank of America Insurance Services. “INDS has a strong record of service in the industry, and we look forward to meeting their insurance needs.”
