Regarding the Automotive Professional Inc. (API) e-news item published on March 20, the magazine would like to clarify that Mike Haning, an agent for Innovative Dealer Services Inc. (ISDI), was not aware of API’s financial troubles before it announced it was entering into receivership in February. Haning said he began switching his accounts to another service contract provider a year and a half ago because the company’s programs were no longer competitive, and only speculated that API’s lack of competitiveness at that time was a sign of things to come. He added that API continued to provide excellent service to its customers up until it entered into receivership.
